Battle Of The Bath: The Ultimate Splashdown

Every superhero has a weakness, and for Milo, it isn’t kryptonite—it’s warm soapy water. He might be the fearless commander of the backyard safari and the top security officer of the neighbourhood watch, but mention the word “bath,” and our brave explorer instantly vanishes.

The trouble always begins with the sound of running water in the bathroom. Milo’s ears prick up, his eyes widen with sudden dread, and he immediately deploys his tactical retreat. He scurries under the nearest bed, pressing his small frame as flat to the floor as possible, hoping that if he doesn’t move, he will blend into the carpet.

When he is finally coaxed out with the promise of a peanut butter bribe, the real battle begins.

As he is lifted into the tub, Milo looks like a tragic actor in a dramatic play. He stands completely still, shivering with faux-betrayal, giving us his most heart-wrenching, soulful “how could you do this to me?” look. He hates getting his paws wet on the beach, so a full-body soak is his ultimate test of endurance.

As the shampoo is lathered into his coat, he turns into a tiny, slick, wet seal. He keeps one paw raised, testing the air for any escape route.

But Milo’s favourite part of the entire ordeal happens the exact second he is lifted out of the tub. The moment his paws touch the dry towel, a switch flips. The tragic actor disappears, replaced by a lightning-fast blur of pure energy: the post-bath “zoomies.”

Milo sprints out of the bathroom like a rocket. He launches himself across the living room carpet, rubbing his face sideways against the rug, before diving headfirst into the couch cushions. He loops around the coffee table at top speed, his tail wagging furiously, celebrating his survival of the great splashdown.

Once he has thoroughly shaken off every last drop of water and successfully rubbed his scent back onto every piece of furniture, he settles down. Wrapped up snugly in a dry blanket like a little doggy burrito, Milo accepts a crunchy victory biscuit. He has survived the dreaded bath once again, proving that even the cleanest adventures require the heart of a lion.
