The leaves are turning, Pumpkin Spice is back in cafés, the evenings are drawing in and Spooky Season is just around the corner…
Which can mean only one thing: It’s From The Horse’s Mouth competition time!
And this time, we’re celebrating everything that makes Autumn special. It’s completely FREE to enter, and there are £175 in cash prizes plus trophies to be won:
- Winner — From The Horse’s Mouth Winner Trophy + £100
- Second Place — From The Horse’s Mouth Runner-Up Trophy + £50
- Third Place — From The Horse’s Mouth Runner-Up Trophy + £25
You don’t need to be an artist, photographer or writer. We’re looking for creativity, personality and something that captures your idea of Autumn.
- A photograph you’ve taken
- A poem or short story
- A drawing, painting or other piece of artwork
- Or simply tell us what Autumn means to you and what makes this time of year special.
So whether it’s colourful leaves, misty mornings, cosy evenings, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Pumpkin Spice, woodland walks — or something completely different — we’d love to see what Autumn inspires in you.
Send your entry to dean@fthm.org.uk by the Closing Date: 1 December 2026.
The winner and two runners-up will be announced in the January 2027 edition of From The Horse’s Mouth.
So get creative, have fun — and show us what Autumn looks, feels or means like to you.
